5 hours of ktv, 4 people. nice singing by the girls and some shouting and screaming by me. think i've caused some disturbances to the neighbouring rooms. it's cheap though, 37 bucks for the whole session. qiu mei left us early to meet up with her boyfriend. birthday girl treated with a cbtl brownie. after which she went home to get ready for her family night safari trip.

session 2: dinner @ coral village
target: shui qing

went to shop for shui's present at marina square. wanted to get a astro boy jacket initially, but there's no size available for that. looks like he doesn't have fate with astro boy. but he got himself a brazil jacket from puma. yellow and green, which i think should fit him. loud as he should be. rushed over to beach road, where coral village is, to meet up with the rest of the gang. while waiting for the rest, we explored arab street,which is just behind the restaurant. found some eclectic shops, selling some old school stuff like chapteh, glass coke bottles, sepak takraw, tops, old school cinema poster, etc. quite interesting.

let's fast forward to the food. we ordered some nice food. but the combination just didn't turn out well. 3 out of 5 dishes were spicy. there were asam fish head, belacang kang kong, sambal la la, prawn flavoured chicken wings and fried tofu. a total of 61 bucks. again each paid just 10 bucks. nice food and good price.

look around for a place to chill out after dinner. ended up at mr. teh tarik at far east square. seems like an alternative to starbucks or cbtl. a plain talk cock session, accompanied by a live band playing oldies, by uncles. i mean real uncles with real oldies. yes, ah peks, 60s 70s chinese tunes. with teh tarik, teh chino. how kampung that can be. left at around 2145.

session 3: clubbing @ dbl o
target: meng wee

that's my best buddy in ocs, still one of my best buds. so for him, i club! but felt quite bad when he paid for my expenses. thanks dude, hope you had fun.

well, met him up at dhoby ghaut station and walked to dbl o. along was edwin, my old friend from xishan primary, and his friend, elton. the queue was not long, so it started out quite well with a short queue. went up and ordered 3 jugs of poison. and there were his friends, who ordered tequila pops and shots for him. i think it really made him quite drunk. so he was missing in action for quite some time. while i just drown myself at the dance floor as usual. saw auggie and junjie. and surprisingly, there was larry the lau, the taekwondo black belter, one of my martial arts buddy in ocs/bmtc. he's into retro too! great man, another kaki i've found. the night ended with supper at a coffee shop nearby. the rest took cab home, and i chose the night rider, one of the best transport services in singapore.
