on the 3rd day was a guided tour to cao dai temple and the cu chi tunnels. but i could onli comprehend 50% of wat the guide told us. but nvm, i juz enjoy taking pics.
bikers in the rain...
the cao dai temple is located in a village of the cao dai pple, and they worship all gods of all religion. (according to wat i understand from the guide) the temple was beautiful. we were there in time to witness their prayers too. quite a magnificent scene.

cao dai temple...
prayers...
we settled our lunch at a road side 'coffeeshop'. had pho again. and toom hed his coffee again. time's up, up the bus, to cu chi we go.
the cu chi tunnels were dug during the vietnam war in order to take cover from the american's bombardment. the guide showed us their bunkers, and brought us to a short walk in the tunnels. the whole tour we were feeding mosquitos as well.

entrance to tunnel... how to go in sia!?
miss cu chi...
me in tunnel...
in between the 2 visits were long long bus rides of more than 1hr each. the whole day spent about 4 hours on bus. so boring. slept thru. attempted to take a snap shot of vietnam school ger cycling home. but 2 factors contributed to my failure: the shaky bus and my non anti shake camera.
vietnamese students in au dai...
we had diner at one of the small restaurants in pham ngu lao. after which we hunt down the famous fanny's ice cream. it's mentioned in lonely planet, and we were longing to eat it since we reach saigon. from pham ngu lao, we took a cab to tong tha tiep.

dinner... and street view...
we were so excited when we see fanny's. went in to try their ice cream... really delicious. comparable to hagen daz... definitely better than swensen's. powerz. they got some exotic flavours like ginger, green tea, and their banana and durian taste as if they were made from the fruit itself. and the best thing is tt they are not expensive at all. 10 scoops at 12 bucks, along wif strawberry, chocolate and caramel topping, together with 2 portions of cut fruits. simply heavenly.

fanny's!!!
went to visit the lengendary 32 lane bowling alley later in the nite, which opens til 1am. it's something like cineleisure. bowling alleys with interesting lightings, with pool tables and arcade on the same storey. and some small cafes and snack bar. and techno music booming. not a bad place to chill.
nite shot of notre dame...
last day. did last minute shopping at ben thanh, getting scammed by cyclo riders, more last minute shopping at tex shopping centre. had last cuppa coffee at highland's coffee.
last day at ben thanh...

dogma, a propaganda grafitti clothing store in saigon. missed the chance to get their tee.
off we go to the airport. airport prices were so much higher than in town. we chose to go hungry than to have our lunch there. another boring 2hr flight. then we're back!!! welcome (back) to singapore~
